The initial diagnostic session runs 60 to 75 minutes. It covers your history, what brought you to therapy now, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different. You leave with a working understanding of what is happening and a plan for where treatment starts.
Ongoing sessions are 45 to 50 minutes. Frequency is usually weekly at the start and is adjusted as treatment progresses. The focus, duration and frequency are set by your goals and your situation.
Yes. This practice works with adults, and particularly with women, on anxiety and anxiety-related conditions.
No. This is a private-pay practice that does not bill insurance directly. Many clients use out-of-network benefits and are reimbursed part of the fee by their insurer. The fees and insurance page sets out the process and the questions to ask your plan.
The initial diagnostic session is $350 for 60 to 75 minutes. Ongoing individual CBT sessions are $275 for 45 to 50 minutes. Letters and form completion are billed at $75 per 15 minutes.

Yes. In-person sessions are available by appointment at the Newton, MA office at 1940 Washington Street, with parking on site and Woodland Station on the Green Line directly across the street.
Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Online sessions are available to residents anywhere in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
For most anxiety presentations, research shows comparable outcomes. CBT translates particularly well to video. Some exposure work benefits from being in the room together, and where that applies it is discussed directly.

Yes, within the limits set by law and professional ethics. Those limits, which include risk of serious harm to yourself or others and certain legal requirements, are explained in full before treatment begins.
Not unless you choose to submit a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Because this practice does not bill insurance, nothing is shared with an insurer without your decision to do so.
